Lucca's Baptism

This afternoon I baptised Lucca Xavier Di Stasio Paulinus Campbell, the son of parishioners Gary and Maria. His father, who is on my adult confirmation course, reads this and other blogs, so I thought I'd better include a picture. Congratulations Lucca!

LUCA, not Lucca! Lucca is an Italian city in Tuscany!

Luca,

You are quite right, Lucca is a city in Tuscany, a walled city. However, your spelling of the name is a modern spelling, granted, it is the most commonly used spelling, but the traditional spelling is Lucca, and this is why Maria, who is Italian, and I, decided to call our son Lucca.

The right spelling for a person's name is Luca.
