This afternoon I baptised Lucca Xavier Di Stasio Paulinus Campbell, the son of parishioners Gary and Maria. His father, who is on my adult confirmation course, reads this and other blogs, so I thought I'd better include a picture. Congratulations Lucca!
.

ReplyDeletei love his names! i always wanted a Xavier!
ReplyDeleteLUCA, not Lucca! Lucca is an Italian city in Tuscany!
ReplyDeleteLuca,
ReplyDeleteYou are quite right, Lucca is a city in Tuscany, a walled city. However, your spelling of the name is a modern spelling, granted, it is the most commonly used spelling, but the traditional spelling is Lucca, and this is why Maria, who is Italian, and I, decided to call our son Lucca.
Sorry But I beg to disagree Luca is quite a anncient name, does Saint Luca rings a bell?
ReplyDeleteThe right spelling for a person's name is Luca.
