St Philip of the Races

St Philip Neri is one of my favourite saints, partly because he is the great saint of joy and good humour. He would therefore appreciate the fact that a horse named after him, 'Saint Philip,' is running tomorrow in the 3.20 at Southwell. The owners have a devotion to the saint since their son is a pupil at St Philip's School in Kensington (run by the Oratory). Though the horse is expected to do well, Roman Miscellany can accept no responsibility if readers lose money over a bet!
